Agricola la Portera “Tardano” Garnacha 2022

Agrícola de Vinos La Portera is a small project founded in 2017
by Jorge Navascués and Javier del Blanco, who were shortly after
joined by another friend, Francisco Santiso, to share
their passionand knowledge in the wine industry.
 

  Andy Says: "This Garnacha is one of the most accidental origin stories in wine! During COVID lockdowns, the team at La Portera could not access the winery to bottle the finished wine, so it sat in the tank for nearly two years. When they finally returned, they expected a disaster but instead found something else: a deeper, softer and more complex Garnacha. They decided to recreate the "mistake" every year naming it "Tardano (late) in honor of its unplanned aging. Plush, juicy and effortless, it shows flavors of cooked strawberry, red cherry, and a touch of red licorice. An easy weekend workhorse with a great story behind it."
