Amelie & Charles Sparr Grand Cru Schoenenbourg Riesling 2021

"I've never been shy about my love of Riesling and I've always been
a loud-mouthed advocate for this lovely noble grape. I know that just
the word "Riesling" brings to mind syrupy-sweet visions of Blue Nuns. Those are blends, mostly consisting of Sylvaner, not Riesling at all!
The Sparr Grand Cru Riesling is dry and mineral,
due to the gypsum-heavy soil it is planted in, with a nose of straight-up honey, a mouth full of punchy acid and peach skin,
minerals and a whiff of beach ball.
Charles says that this wine ages the longest.
BUT, It's incredible now,
and I can't wait to see what it tastes like in ten years!"
