Cartello Sonoma Rhone Style Blend

From Anderson Valley, (stay tuned for our article on Anderson Valley in The Laurel of Asheville this summer) whole cluster Grenache is the focus in this red blend.  The stems give this wine great lifted aromatics, and keeps it light on its feet. Blended with Syrah, Carignan and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, our Sonoma Red is perfect chillable wine for the warmer months and an ideal partner for a great variety of pairings.
 

Cartello™ wines focus on quality at an everyday price. The property is a stunning 54 acres, with 10 of those planted, situated in the foothills of Geyser Peak itself. Being up off of the valley floor, the grapes escape the extreme heat that builds below and are able to retain  freshness and acidity. The steep and rocky soils provide "inconvenience" to test the character of the vines. The end goal is achieved with honoring the site and soils so the wines are each varietally correct.
