Chapillon's Cuvee Harmonie is a beautiful blend of Petit Verdot and Tannat, two French grapes grown in Aragon, Spain. It's more elegant than you would expect from two big varietals like those and works nicely with or without food. Flavors of black cherry, plum, smoke, graphite and black tea."
In France, they have certain problems with the ripening of Petit Verdot , but on the contrary, in the Iberian Peninsula, very interesting wines are being obtained because Spanish viticulture has a greater number of hours of sunshine. Petit Verdot boasts intense aromas of cherry and ripe plums. Its fruit produces a full-bodied, powerful wine with a rich color. It evokes aromas of raspberries and other forest fruits. Blended with 10% Tannat , it adds body and color to the mix. Tannat is one of the French red grape varieties . Its distinctive characteristics include high acidity and extremely pronounced tannins . Today, Chapillon has achieved a smooth blend, resulting in an elegant and juicy wine.
