Andy Says: "Remember when you could only find cheap plonk from the Languedoc-Rousillon region of France with a cute animal on the label? Times have definitely changed since then! From legendary natural winemaker Francoise Le Calvez comes this gorgeous, earthy red from the village of Minervois. Made from Carignan and Grenache with a little Syrah, this southern French gem shows flavors of blueberry pie, mint, leather and teriyaki beef jerky. Amazing with stew or rustic French peasant fare."
About the Winery: Château Coupe-Roses is situated in La Caunette, a little and beautiful village in Minervois, close to the Montagne Noire. Our organic vines thrive on wide limestone uplands at an elevation and suitable climate for aromas and acidity preservation.
"Wine quality start in vines. Our vineyard practices are based on this philosophy. Soil work is primordial, it allows vines to durably settle into their environment. Organic treatments ensure the preservation of an ecosystem. All these elements provide a very unique raw material which contributes to our work in the cellar."
