"Honestly, it's tough to name a single "best value" at Metro Wines!  Many bottles on the shelves feel underpriced for what's in the glass. That's what we do! And, as the Buyer, that's exactly what I am chasing-wines that make me do a double take when I see the price after tasting them blind. One that  consistently delivers that reaction is this Vajra.

From the renowned Barolo producer, this wine is a blend of the estate's Piemontese varieties: primarily Nebbiolo with Barbera, Dolcetto and smaller amounts of grapes including Freisa and Albarossa. The result is a beautifully balanced red that captures the essence of Piemonte. Not quite Barolo but close.  Expect  bright red cherry, sour strwberry, rose petals, black tea, and hints of tobacco and truffle.
