Grochau "Rouleur" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2023

Andy Says: "Rouleur" is the step up from one of our most popular Oregon Pinot Noirs since we opened the doors @MetroWines, the G.C. Commuter Cuvee. While Commuter is bright, fresh and easygoing, Rouleur is deeper, more structured and more serious.
   At $32, Rouleur is a bit of a splurge by my standards but compared to Commuter's $24 pricetag, there's a remarkable jump in quality for just $8. Most of the fruit comes from the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, where sedimentary soils produce Pinot Noirs with greater structure and depth. Wines from this area typically sell for well over $50.
   John Grochau is also one of the nicest winemakers we'e hosted @MetroWines. He is every bit as approachable as his wine. Expect flavors of tart cherry, cranberry, red raspberry, baking spices and subtle earth minerality. Fact: Over delivers."
