Andy Says: "L'Ermite is a star. The winery farms bio-dynamically, their wines are well made and because the distributor imports bottles directly, L'eEmite is very affordable. Sainte Cecile is a village in Costières de Nimes, just south of the Rhône Valley border. Instead of using the traditional Rhone Blend of 60% Grenache, L'Ermite uses equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre which imparts more structure and depth. Think less strawberry jam and more peppery cherry. This wine opens to present flavors of plum, blueberry, leather, wild southern French herbs and black pepper. If you enjoy wines from Côtes du Rhône but would like a little more kick in the glass, this is your wine."
