  Andy Says: "For a long time, Abruzzo was better known for inexpensive easy-drinking wines than serious, age-worthy reds. Producers like Emidio Pepe and Gianni Masciarelli helped change that reputation demonstrating just how much quality the region and the Montepulciano grape were capable of producing. Marin Cvetić, named for Gianni's wife, is a richer, more serious expression of the Montepulciano grape. Full bodied and powerful, the wine presents flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, plum with  sweet spices and violets. Serve with hearty pasta dishes, braised meats or any substantial Italian meal."
