Muga "El Anden de la Estacion" 2023, Spain
92 Points from both Wine Enthusiast and Robert Parker."
Andy Says: "Brand new from the famous and highly regarded Rioja producer, Muga! El Anden refers to the old train station that helped transport Rioja wines to Bordeaux during the phylloxera crisis of the late 1800s. El Anden is 70% Tempranillo and 30% Garnacha, aged in oak barrels for 14 months. This bottle is a little richer and weightier than many Riojas while remaining remarkably smooth and balanced, with flavors of black cherry, leather, currants, and velvety spice from its time in oak. This should pair perfectly with anything grilled."
