Andy Says: "The story behind this biodynamic winery is a bit of a personal dream of mine. Astronomer Giuseppe Sesti and his family purchased what they thought was simply an old country house in Tuscany. As it turned out, the property also included an abandoned medieval hamlet, complete with vineyards, a 9th century church, the ruins of a 12th century castle and a beautiful stone house with a tree growing through the roof. After years spent cleaning brush, restoring the buildings and bringing the vineyards back to life, the family began making wine, taking advantage of Montalcino's exceptional terroir.
Alongside their celebrated Brunello, the winery produces this "Baby Brunello" made to be enjoyed now while their flagship wines age to perfection. Expect, flavors of dark cherry raspberry, subtle oak spice, leather, and that unmistakeable tobacco note that so often presents in great wines from Montalcino. Enjoy now or over the next few years with hearty Tuscan cuisine."
