Andy Says: "Skrlet (pronounced shkir-let) is the grape varietal. It's one of those grape that you probably have never heard of but, then once you try it , you will never forget it. Crisp and bright with an aromatic nose of Kaffir lime, fresh flowers and white rocks."
About the Winery: The Voštinić family has been exclusively cultivating Škrlet vines in the rolling hills of Moslavina since 1936, when great-grandfather Klasnić planted the first vines, some of which still grow today and are some the oldest in the world. Before that time, the grape nearly went extinct. Vivacious and refreshing, this is certainly a wine to try on its own, but feel free to get creative with the food pairings-it goes with everything! The grape can handle mustard, pepper cheese and spice!
