Presqu’ile Santa Barbara County Syrah 2023

"Odds are you have probably tried Presqu'ile Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County. A customer favorite, Presqu'ile is one of our best selling Pinot Noirs. I keep stacks in the back of the shop and somehow I still manage to run out!
   After tasting recently with the winery, I discovered that Pinot Noir is not the only wine Presqu'ile does well.  In fact, I enjoyed just about everything they poured. Since I did not want to turn MetroWines into a Presqu'ile Outlet store, I restrained myself and bought just one: this Syrah.
   Much like their Pinot Noir, this Syrah is not the stereotypical full-bodied California fruit bomb. The wine sits on the lighter side of medium-bodied with silky tannins, restrained fruit and a style that walks a lovely line between California ripeness and Old World Spice.
   Expect flavors of fresh cherry, black pepper, minty herbs and a savory note. If you taste this wine and decide that it would be better with 20 minutes in the refrigerator, you're not wrong. The bottle will soar with a little chill. Surprisingly versatile"
